Coach Richard Grassie

Growing up in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, Richard instantly fell in love with the sport and trained at the Newcastle School of Excellence before moving to Canada.

Always with a ball at his feet Richard has played soccer either for his school team, his local club or both. Many of you may also recognize him from On the Ball, Niagara's local soccer store where he worked for over 10 years.

Married with two boys, Richard naturally progressed into coaching soccer. He has coached kids of all ages and assisted with coaching soccer camps at the University of Charleston and the University of Marshall.

Eat, sleep and breathe soccer is what best describes Richard.
