Coach Sam Blakeley

Founder of Niagara Soccer Skills Academy, Sam was born and raised in Manchester, England and loves Football.

Sam played for his local team, school and professional club Bury FC. From age 9-16 he trained weekly in the Bury School of Excellence and played against the best teams like Manchester United, Manchester City & Liverpool.

At 16 he was released from Bury FC and joined a semi-professional team, Chadderton FC. He played there for two years before moving to Canada in 1999.

Football is in the Blood

Sam is very proud that his Great Grandad, Arthur Whalley played for Manchester United from 1909-1920 winning the league and FA Cup. He also played for Charlton Athletic from 1921-1924

Sam continues to play in the Niagara region and is as passionate about the game as ever. He has played for clubs Concorde OSL, Club Roma and German Village.
